The opening ceremony was attended by Vadym Omelchenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to France, Louis Nègre, Mayor of Cagnes-sur-Mer, and Natalya Guzenko Boudier from the Ukrainian Institute in France.
“The exhibition of Oleksa Hryshchenko is not just a museum project. It is about restoring Ukrainian names to their rightful place within the European cultural heritage. The success of the opening shows that the French public is genuinely interested in our culture, and we must use this interest in the most constructive way possible.

Over the next three months, the exhibition will be open to the general public. We have also planned several events, including a painting workshop, a lecture by art historian Vita Susak — one of the leading experts on Hryshchenko — as well as a concert of Ukrainian music featuring beautiful voices and the bandura, an instrument that the French themselves asked to discover,” said Iryna Podyryako-Bourdelles, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Nice, who has been working on this initiative for several years.
📍 The exhibition will be open to visitors until June 15.
